Since the turn of the century, China has entered into a new period of its industrial manufacturing. With a better educated population and rapidly increasing worker productivity, the country has been able to expand its manufacturing capabilities to more high-tech and higher value-added products. In China, building supplies production is amongst the forefront of this new incentive . This trend intensified around 2005 with active tax rebate and new RMB evaluation policies. There was consistent year-over-year growth throughout this decade in areas such as bathroom ceramic materials, architectural glass, and fiberglass with exports in the industry reaching year-over-year growth percentages as high as 80% (2007).
