Industry and Manufacturing in China and India

As the world has become increasingly interconnected in recent decades few countries have taken more advantage or made a bigger impact than manufacturing in China and India. Having been dubbed the “Chinese Dragon” and “Indian Elephant” respectively, reflecting the size of this impact, the economies of both have been able to record incredibly impressive and, more importantly, consistent growth over the past 20 plus years. Though they are still considered “developing” countries, as the gap with the developed countries of the world in such key indicators as living standards and GDP per capita still remains relatively large, their respective impacts on the global economy are becoming increasingly more pronounced.
